ARCHIVE: Abito, Greengates, rooftop, April 07
This was quite an amusing jaunt. It was the opening weekend of these microflats on the edge of town. As such, the place was in relative chaos and there were still plenty of snags that the contractor hadn't sorted. Fortunately for me one of those was the electronic lock to the roof!
The canopies sort of cover a central atrium which is open and houses the single vertical core. This 'plugs into' the landings at 8 floors, the landings run all the way around the interior space. It has a certain prison like quality, but I am into the functional character of it. As you can tell, I'm more interested in the building than the act of hitting the roof, hence only a few shots of actual views. http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...B/52310023.jpg View from the old Exchange Station http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...B/52310008.jpg Interior http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...B/52310003.jpg Looking up at the canopy with core in foreground http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...B/52310018.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...B/52310019.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...B/52310013.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...B/52310016.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...B/52310017.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...B/52310014.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...B/52310015.jpg peace NMB |
