This is i belive to be a underground reservoir its looked in romiley stockport.
as kids we called it water towers due to the fact that it has 2 towers on the top of the big hill, which are access doors, not sure if thats the real name of it. It also has loads of pipes sticking out the top of the hill which i guess are ventilation?

It look to me to be a live site i could be wrong, if it is id imagine big fine for busting into it. But it looks really really interesting though it would be good to have a look in it.
