The Valley Works, Rhydymwyn. August 2008. Lots of pictures.
Evil Jim and me.
I will start with a very big thank you to our guide Sam, Thank you Sam. This site has it all, mustered gas production, uranium enrichment, munition storage, potential RSG, part of the strategic reserve (sorry no trains). During the war, passing any intelligence on Valley to any member of the public, of either nationality, was a capital offence. This site is known for the original graffiti, and it was never found the the Germans. For a fuller history. http://rvsweb.org.uk/index.htm And. http://www.subbrit.org.uk/rsg/sites/...n/history.html http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3195/...e80e39bb_o.jpg Airial shoot. Runcol production, they actually made mustard gas here. The only reason this building is still standing, is because of the contamination it would cause if it was taken down. Plus it smells. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3245/...dfa178c9_o.jpg I do like a good vaulted roof. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3044/...f3d5ce4f_o.jpg Skylight.
