Well done for getting up on top of the water distribution system. Looks fantastic up there. When I visited I saw a way up, but no way was I trying that alone.
The weird plastic stuff is 'fill', used to promote evaporation by providing a large surface area for water to run over. You can see that stuff all over the site, though at first I thought it was dumped Venetian blinds, lol. The noise in there when it was operational must have been awesome.
Great pictures. Did you get under the coal drops or has it flooded even more?
