I came across these stills from the film 'Hell is a City', shot in Manchester in 1959 and released in 1960. They are from this
site where the author has rather meticuously traced the shots from the film. He only has pictures of the Refuge Assurance Building from the ground though! Maybe some NWEX members could help him out with the missing comparison shots.
