Before i was a grown up !!!! I lived a short distance away on Hawthorne Road, me and my mates ( Hawthorne Road Gang) used to get into the tunnel from the Aintree Road end, meet the Marsh Lane gang near the middle and chuck bricks at each other, The Marsh lane gang were all Psycho's and we always ran off. Don't remeber the walkway tho ( maybe I do but old age). I also used to play in the gas works.
