Evil Jim and me.
I will start with a very big thank you to our guide Sam, Thank you Sam.
This site has it all, mustered gas production, uranium enrichment, munition storage, potential RSG, part of the strategic reserve (sorry no trains).
During the war, passing any intelligence on Valley to any member of the public, of either nationality, was a capital offence.
This site is known for the original graffiti, and it was never found the the Germans.

For a fuller history.

Airial shoot.

North end of the site.

Building 45. Originally built to produce Pyro. Later used for the very early experiment to enrich uranium.

vaulted roof and crane.

Building 65. Runcol production, they actually made mustard gas here. The only reason this building is still standing, is because of the contamination it would cause if it was taken down. Plus it smells.

I do like a good vaulted roof.

Skylight.

Middle part of the site.

This is where they put the explosives in.

1940's maths. It is all in pounds and oz.

Potato painting. Not really, stencils to mark the bombs.

More stencils.

DP paint job on a building, groovy.

Nothing so see here.

Ministry of Supplies.

Part of the air raid shelter entry system.

Door handle.

One of the movable grates to stop ingress onto the site via the river.

Toilet, you have to have a toilet or it just not an explore.

Offices.

Looking through a window.

More graffiti. There is an interesting story behind this one.

That's good flaking.

The tunnel

Magazine.

It was very wet under foot.

I may pot some moe pictures up later.
