Default MEN Arena Rooftop, Manchester - August 2011 - 22-08-2011, 21:18

Explored with NickUK

I’ve wanted to do this one for a while now, so while myself and NickUK were in town we headed over to see what we could do. NickUK delivered the access, and we were soon stood on the wet rooftop overlooking the busy streets and railway station below.

Info:

The Manchester Evening News Arena is a large indoor arena, which plays host to a multitude of events including music concerts and various sports events including ice hockey and swimming. It has a maximum capacity of 21,000 people - making it the largest indoor arena in Europe - and can be configured in a variety of ways to accommodate the different events. It was built in 1995, adjacent to Manchester Victoria railway station, at a cost of £52million. It has been named the ‘world’s busiest arena’ from 2001-2007 due to selling five-and-a-half million music concert tickets during the period.

Love this place!

Strange how things in Manchester have changed over the years. At least it makes it more fun to try and get on these buildings
