Default Denbigh Asylum yet again! - June 2010 - 25-06-2010, 01:18

Visited with NewStuff.

No point in me going into detail about the site, this place has been done to death! If you haven't been,
all you need to know is, it's huge, there isn't a lot left to see and if you intend to go above the ground level,
take out life insurance first as the floors are really iffy..

as i haven't got much to say about the site,
i may as well give a few details on the day.

Having herd so much about "beardy" and the "dogs" at this place
I wasn't even sure if we'd get in this place, as it turns out, there are no dogs and beardy is about 70! anyway
We got there at about noon, found a place to park up and strolled in.

the first place we came to was the church. We had a quick look around it, still been unsure about how on top the site is,
we didn't spend too much time there as we wanted to see as much as we could before been asked to leave.

At this point NewStuff decided his comerdy tripod just wasn't happening,
by comerdy i mean "The Biggest Tripod" in the world ever...

top bit of kit, but it's strictly studio lol..
so he stashed it, meaning if we got chucked out we would have to go in again to retreve it.

we left the church and had a walk down,
the next building we came to was the mortuary, well and truely trashed, the past 15 years havent been kind!

as said, we were still not hanging around for too long as we were
keen to see as much as we could, so we moved on from here to see
what was next. a short distance down the hill and we came to
the maintenance and utilities area.

From here, we then moved onto the the main building, the place is HUGE but is in really poor condition, we had a good look around and there isn't much left to look at. If you do plan to go here, seriously, watch your step, both of us at least once each managed to go through the floor, i'm fairly sure i managed it 3 times, one of then was quite a big one too.

By the way, who IS Micheal Johnson?

anyway, after a bit of mooching, we found the way onto the roof, it looked way to iffy to be walking around on though

then we just had another look around, as said, there really isnt much to see, the wheel chairs are now out in the yard, as you know, anything of any value has long gone, and the years havent been kind at all, between the harsh welsh weather, the chavs and pikeys, and the fires, it's fek'd..

and that was about it, well I actually have about another 50 pictures, but i CBA uploading them, as it's really just more of the same..

And heres the building for those who dont allready know it.

Thanks for looking..
