Default soldiers point holyhead 2011/04 - 02-07-2011, 23:58

The hotel was burnt down in 2006 and ever since been abandoned ,heres a picture in the 1900 before it was converted into a hotel im not sure what happend between then and becoming a hotel.

Such a shame to see this in such a state now, I first saw it with all the families stuff still inside - it looked like they had just up and left and to see it as it is now with unfulfilled promises of renovation. It could be amazing but I reckon the council have enough on their plate atm.

Some great little finds with the photos you've posted on the forum, but I especially like this one. I suspect the need for hotels for people travelling to and from Ireland has all but disappeared now, but I reckon this one would have been quite popular in it's heyday. Still, it would be a tragedy to see such a great building go to waste.

Im in Anglesea in August for a Track day, think I might stay an extra day and see some of these places.
