I believe this is my first NW URBEX post 'in topic'. So please don't give me a kicking if I've got something wrong.
This was an amazing find pointed out to me by a friend who studies nearby at West Cheshire College. The surrounding area is being redeveloped and modern housing estates encroach the site from all angles. Wrexham Council plan to redevelop the land as it has been bought. From what I can gather, the garage shut down in 2003. There's hardly any family run single \ twin pump stations left now, and it's a crying shame. Huskissons seems to have served the local area for some years, judging by the stuff we found on site....
I wished my daily driver was more in keeping with the surroundings. Alas.
There was a cottage attached to the forecourt, which was severely overgrown. The door was ajar but with the site facing a housing estate and my car on open display, I didn't feel comfortable footstepping and photographing.
This wasn't the oldest pump on display. Round the back there was a severely overground upright model which I tried to photograph but the light was fading badly.
A 1982 copy of The Sun within the covered area under the canopy.
Some of the literature we found in this space would have made an autojumbler moist. There were NOS trim pieces for various Rootes Group models in the rubble, none of which we disturbed.
Anyway - enjoy. I want to stick around here and need things to photograph \ explore. Do please get in touch.
