Default Arndale Centre Rooftop, Manchester - August 2011 - 20-08-2011, 18:51

Explored with NickUK

Plenty of running, climbing, and more running. What a sick rooftop! Hit this with NickUK, who has nailed this a couple of times in the past. We stood over the sloped glass roof looking down watching the last few workers shutting up shops inside, and got a few snaps. But as we moved over to the other side of the rooftop, we were spotted by two people on a balcony across the road - who went inside and came back out a minute later shouting at us. Time to bail!

Info:

Manchester Arndale was built between 1972 and 1979 at a cost of £100million, and was redeveloped in 1996 after the bombing attack on Manchester. It contains a floor space of 1,500,000 sq ft (139,000 m2), making it the largest shopping mall within a city centre in Europe.

Despite our stay being cut short, this place was brilliant.

Thanks for looking

Yeah it was a bit! Stayed off the glass obviously, but the whole roof surface is a kind of plastic type stuff.
