Found by complete accident whilst having a recce of some other bits and pieces I want to have a look at. The overflow takes water from the Leeds Liverpool canal between Haigh and Adlington discharging eventually into the River Douglas. Culvert was mostly stone and brick lined varying in height with a nice surprise part way along. Didn't manage to negotiate the full culvert as the height dropped to less than 3 feet and I didn't fancy crawling in shorts. Apologies the shots are all from the floor I didn't have my tripod
The limit of where I reached

An air shaft not now in use
