Mather Lane Mill - Leigh - May 2012

Visited with Host

Another standard 4am get-up. Although it did give me a chance to admire the 'super moon' on the motorway at 4.30, which was cool.

As per Host, keeping it NP for now so others have a chance.

'Mather Lane Mill is one of the more important factory designs by Bradshaw and Gas,
an innovatory, technically biased architectural practice. Various features are
unusual for the date including the square plan, flat roof and partly internal engine
house. The mill is illustrated in E Jones, Industrial Architecture in Britain,
1750-1919 and is notable for its severe classical elevations.'

Ain't nothing finer in life than a mill rooftop sunrise, beauty.
