Had a look at the lagoon today, the car in Urbans pic has since had it's roof cut off ....
Wonder if the police needed to get in to retrieve a body or something

By the way looks like a mark 1 escort to me

There's only one car there, its had the roof cut off within the last few days, it's cleanly cut with no rust.

must admit, they do look different. dont think its a mk1 escort, they had a coke bottle shape. dont think its a mk2 either, ive been cool enough in the past to own one of them. possibly a vauxhall.

Had a look my self to mark the end of a night shift, its poss a mk 1 cavalier, eitherthat or the chevette with a boot, but doubt it as the boot is a little large.
Its a shame how all the markings have been removed but i did manage to find the part number off the water pump(which still turns) and one a letter 'X' from the back panel.

Also spotted remains of a headlight and grill from a mk3 golf, whats left of a set of clocks (ford or vauxhall) and a number plate of a mk1 1976 ford escort registered in 1976 and last taxed in 1988 but no signs of the rest of the car.

Theres also something largeish behind the cavalier about 6ft out in the water which should surface soon, may be complete rubbish but could be something interesting.
