This colliery is literally beside the A548 coast road, as the first picture of an adit testifies. There was a also a shft, recently visited by Auntie Cath, who was there because the adit had been interfered with, so they capped the shaft as well.
The colliery closed in 1938, essentially because it was not connected to the railway, which was only a few yards away. If it had survived until 1939, and with WW2 imminent, it may have lasted longer. Both the adit and the shaft went into the same ( Main ) seam, but are separated by a fault. This was just a quick mooch, but there was a surprise. There is a discussion on Welsh Coal Mines

There are few surface remains, but adjacent to the shaft are some substantial remains of the (presumably) fan house (building just above the "h" of "shaft" :
