Scotland mission aborted and most of the weekend watching and fixing my flaming gutter that's been p*ssing water all over the back door, my bank holiday was not going well.
Despite the weather on the lunch time news showing it caning it down over most of the north-west, I was determined to get out. Riding the Volvo hearse over the moors, via the rather splendid Grandma Pollard chippy (we ate sat in a converted little gem bus), we headed for double hit of ROC post and VOR station. The ROC Post is described on subbrit
here.
As we headed up the rain was threatening and the wind whippping up a gust, its no wonder they shut in 1968, proper northern sideways weather.
