Holme hall/holme bank chert mine in bakewell, a treat both above and below ground for the mining enthusiast.

The Chert mine was very special because I'd been here back in 1984 on a day out while at Thornbridge Hall with school. Back then we met the original mine founder and saw how Davie Blocks were made. All I kept thinking while we were being shown was "when we going down the mine? When we going down the mine?"

Anyway, 25 years later, I got my wish.
