Says that the cost was £341,000 for tower and construction. Or about £21,000,000 in today's coinage.

Loving how people are flocking to the tower then "doing it" by taking the scaff to the base, then missing out the last 218 foot of the climb once it stops being step ladders.. To the top boys.

lol mate that looks solid though. If its a case of free climbing out at the ledge at the top, thats a pretty mental climb. I doubt I could pull it off safely anyway. Still, them views are pretty amazing and its a british icon ting. I'd love to be able to say I'd even set foot in it. Legitimitly or not. Ive never even been up it in't lift lol!

Big up to the originals who cracked it first, scott and sl. Proper top one.

I'd have loved to have gone to the top, Wasn't too keen on going out under that ledge though.

Had a bash at this tonight with my mrs. Amazing. Really loved it, great mooch. Really finished off a mint weekend in blackpool like. Didnt make it right to the very very top though, Return mission for that me thinks.
