It is right at the bottom of the Cat and Fiddle, between the Cat and Fiddle, and the Macclesfield Old Road, literally over the wall. I've passed thousands of times, and never noticed. because you are usually pre-occupied with staying on the road.

It was a small producer, supplying local needs, and very little remains, although there is a book on the subject. It is associated with the Goyt Valley mines.

There was a band of mines, shafts and coal pits across the Cat and Fiddle road, as can be seen in the yellow band:
