Default Water Saw Mine - May 10 - 09-05-2010, 21:55

Well seeing as the world of SPA mining is all up in the air after ineos fluor sold out to Mexichem Milldam looks to now be closed and all the equipment has been moved back over to Water Saw. We decided it was time to take a quick trip before the security cameras etc go up

Visitied with a friend of another site.

And now for the fun stuff

This mine is know as Sallet Hole no 2 and there used to be a link road but after a shale collapse the road way was lost. We think we found a way through after feelign a good draft through another collapse on a higher road but now need to track it down from the sallet end. Time for another trip to Sallet Hole

Its a fire extinguiser. They have them located over the power junctions as a saftey thing Nothing below it any more but they left it hanging and its still charged ready to go

There is a larger one in Sallet Hole hanging but all the cables have been stripped out again

Lovely stuff, some of the trucks look like train engines with rubber wheels. Are the messy parts disused or is it just recent bits falling from the ceiling ?

The messy parts are the old section down the lower end towards Sallet hole but they were only abandoned last year :o
