Default Un-named place in the northern quarter manchester - 09-12-2010, 11:05

visited late November 2010.

I m leaving this place un-named for now, purely because i ve done alot of research into it to make this happen. I ve been watching it for about 4 months now and finally got my opertunity a couple of weeks ago.

Its located in the northern quater of manchester and the upper floors have been derelict for around 16 years. Previously i m lead to beleive the rochdale canal had a loading bay marina type thing underneath which was used as an air raid shelter during the war, however, i saw no evidence of this.

I m planning another visit and i m trying to get more information on the air raid shelter if it exists. I ve searched the web for info and been to the library but not found a great deal upto now.

Anyway enough from me and on with the pictures.

Not sure what its use was to be honest. Also just to add, i m not being funny about keeping the name to myself, its just i put alot of work into it and the access was hard work so i dont want other people getting caught and the security being upped until i ve bottomed out this air raid shelter bit. If it exists it will be one hell of a find and give us all something new to crack!

I m sure everyone will understand.

cheers

Very nice. Looking at the windows in your third photo looks familiar.
