Manor House / Jaguar Graveyard - Lancs - May 2012

Visited with NickUK & Tweek

Thanks to Oldskool for the information.

A derelict manor house, sitting in it's own private grounds in the middle of nowhere. Not sure what the story is, but there's a whole load of forgotten Jaguars and Minis nearby too, I suspect the owner either died or left them there in the hope of restoration which never happened...

Tweek, forever contemplating.

Cheers :thumb

Please do not adjust your mind, there is a slight problem with reality.

Probably was, but looks like it has been broken into and wheels taken in the space of a week so wouldn't hold hope!

i was here the other day and someone had a fire burning just round the back, i did the building and went to look for the jags, a guy lives in the static caravan around the back!! the cars are his, he was going to restore them but he lost sight in one of his eyes years ago and they just got left, he would not let me take pics of them.

but he did give a little history of the place! it was a hotel for years, not making money so it was sold to someone who was going to turn into apartments, then the banking crisis hit and he could not afford the £1,000,000 he had borrowed for it, so the bank repossed it but the guy didnt know the owners now but he said he has had problems with metal theifs since it closed.

Brilliant photos, love the sheer size of that place.

Shame about the cooper, webasto roof too!

Jags are cheap as chips these days and there's plenty about, wonder if he would consider selling?
Those jags are in pretty good shape by the looks of it.

Great building, great photos.
Thanks for sharing.
