After seeing the photos of the crane i just had to see it first hand, bconfined led the way and suprisingly not one wrong turn!

The crane itself is in remarkably good condition given its age and the conditions it rests in, seeing the crane with the tension supports in place also gave us the answer to other questions posed throught the quarry, although it does raise a shed load of other questions!!

It is definitely worth a trip to see this, it certainly is a snap shot of the past. Oh and if you do go take a spade to dig it out
