Montcliffe Quarry is located on the edge of the moors above Horwich. Quarrying stopped a couple of years ago and the site is destined to be a landfill site like its neighbour quarry, Pilkington.

The buildings are pretty trashed but still some interesting stuff kicking around.

Apologies for the quality of the pics!!

Waiting for security to clear off I went for a nosey around.



















walking up an overgrown track leading away from the buildings lead to this which I'm guessing's where they kept the explosives!






No internals as my lense was too long!!
