Posted in here as the owners DO NOT like visitors and have allready bulldozed one entrance, while the quarrys are no longer mind, the mill is still in opperation.
Visited with AndyJ, New stuff, and some peep's from UCET. history is here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aberllefenni_Slate_Quarry I was looking at joining a caving club and was invited here as a "taster" trip. These workings have a very different feel to them than any other slate mines i've visited, the breaks through to the surface give it a very nice feel. the trip was pretty uneventfull.
