Just a few snaps, Morrisey and Boboil have put theirs on Flickr, well worth a look as the conditions were as close to arctic as must be possible. The wind chill took the temperature down to about -30 I reckon, Manx was romping about with crampons on his clinkers!

Icicle part way down the drift

Ice stalagmites beneath the icicles

Mr Morrisey at work

'Burnley Bobber' in the roof, a stone inclusion

Hardwood 'chock stacks' for extra roof support, in older workings

Ochrey water oozing over a water lodge dam

Old side heading

Old manriding cart in a side road

One of the two pit cats stood on top of a tub

Owners lad, future miner
