This site has already been urbexed a lot before so a lot of people already know the history.
We found out that the mill shut in the late 1990's but we found evidence of it being open later than that e.g. registers, stock takes and receipts. We found all these documents in the admin area of the mill which is a stand alone building requiring seperate access.
Since then, the site has been used as an air soft site with old compressed air cannisters lying around and BB's spread on the floor. Also, netting had been placed on the second floor and an arrangement of pallets for air softers to take cover behind.
There was also evidence of people sleeping rough at the site with furniture arrangements and beds. There was no evidence of drug taking.
It appeared that the Mallalieu family lived on site in the admin block. We found a photo's scattered on the floor that appears to be the Mallalieu family along with children's toys, bedroom furniture and a small kitchen downstairs.
Please take a look at our photo's:
These were taken in the mill itself:
Found this little sucker stuck in one of the carding Machines in the basement
Discovered a squatter's living room and bedroom:

The camera we used is a Olympus MUI790SW. We are planning on upgrading our camera and purchasing a tripod for better photographs.
Hope you like our first report and there will be more to follow
