Strange. There's at least one book. In addition local record offices plus the BGS and the Coal Authority have plans.

Trust that you've tried these? Not sure where else you'd hope to get info from.

The book and the records office doesnt have plans for the early workings, and as far as i know, the late ones have no access to them, there could be access, but none that i know of.

Another visit to minera lead mine i wont bother starting a new thread history is covered and i didnt take many pics this time. But we found a few interesting things ive not seen before and it was a good day.


The old lime kilns even though ive walked past them evrey time ive been ive never had a look at them before

Still working on getting some plans... as I said, it may take a while, but I *know* they exist, Just not sure who currently has them.

Yeah well as we where getting changed by the car a guy came over and asked where we had been. And he was saying that there are surveys and maps but they are kept very hush hush. But he gave us some really good clear direction to some parts we had not been in, as he said he had spent lots of time down there. So it only means another trip is a must for this place.
