Arrow Harpurhey Swimming Baths - 18-01-2009, 14:05

Me, UED, Mortaldecay and Fluxy had a little outing to a few spots. Firstly we stopped off at Harpurhey swimming baths. which was quite high profile to get in. Also the police station is quite close by so when we heard the sirens it was a bit unnerving but we did not get caught thankfully. Also we were light painting a lot which can be seen through the big window in the roof. So we were drawing quite a bit of attention I think.

There are two pools. a smaller one and a bigger one. This is the bigger one. Both quite grubby.

One of my favorite parts was the reception area. It just looked so nice.

It appears that they are refurbishing the place. We were able to get up to the third floor as a new stair case has been put in and work is being done in all of the top rooms.

Getting out was so much harder then getting in for me. The wood was wet and I could not get my grip.

From the latest return to this excellent building:

Wax crayon graffiti! I think it's meant to be one of the monsters from Doom.

The work that involved the construction of the new staircase and mending of floors also extended to installing new doors, one of which now blocks access to the service tunnels.

Yeah, the foyer had loads of rubble in it when I was there last year. The upper stair was grimey too. Beautiful shots, by the way.

My visit was a 6.30am solo, Christmas 2007. I had no lights and forgot my tripod, so had to wait the daylight! It's a privilege to visit.

Good stuff. Some pics from the Ric and j3bu visit the other night.

I'm not really very good at star trails, so I was pleased with this.

Nearly all my photos were skewiff and I couldn't be arsed salvaging this one.

Good night out. Access was comedy. I liked all of the crap graffiti, the nice tiles and the general feel of the place.
