I remember when they drained Ackers Pit by my house a year or so back. Brought up hundreds of antique bottles, some worth a good £50 or more! I'd keep my eye on this, might find some interesting stuff.

good it shouldn't be drained. i agree with andy they are finding it hard to drain this but they cant stop all the leaks on the other water pipes which has caused us to have a hose pipe ban.

It's back up to full levels again now, so nothing to see. When it was nearly drained, there didn't appear to be much more to see than on the pics.
