Lostock Power Station - Northwich - Cheshire

This place is beyond epic, you get in, you go "OK", you cross that bridge and good god its brilliant. The steam rising at the rear making for an eerie mist and the Sunrise lighting the huge window panes at the front. It smells of true industry and has lots of remnants left, such as turbines, control panels, and pipes, lots and lots of pipes. My favourite industry site to date, and they said it's all in Belgium, pfff....

(This was also my first time taking every shot in manual mode, so I'm quite pleased with how they have turned out, previously I only ever used shutter priority, but recently picked up on that mode's limitations, so yes thats that....)

Into the steam...

P.S - This is still part of a very much live site....

Cheers!

According to this report on UEF:

Quote:
Lostock a coal fired powerstation was decommissioned in 2000 when E.ON built there new Combined Heat & Power plant at Winnington, Lostock is due to be flattened for a new Sustainable Energy Plant to be built on the site.
