Day 2 and this time I sneaked on top of the slag heap and also near the workings. Parts of the tip were burning bringing back memories of playing on tips surrounded by that sulphury smell. The panoramic shot shows how far back the tip goes, and how it loses its character without snow on the sides, the top was still covered in snow.
