Just a quickie this. A couple of people had mentioned to me that there was a pillbox just up the road from where I live but I only got round to looking for it this week. If I'd known just how easy it would be to find I would have checked it out ages ago. It literally sticks out on to the pavement, I've driven right past it loads of times!
Not to much to tell really, it pretty much is what it is. The inside has been kindly 'decorated' by previous visitors who have scraped & sprayed various things in to the concrete including a swastika & a message that claims (entirely unconvincingly!) to be from the Forties. Judging by the location & direction it faces i assume this was here to protect fleetwood docks
Not usually my kind of thing but my interest has been piqued enough to convince me to go & check out more of this stuff.
