I’d had a couple of photographs posted on my blog and that’s all that we managed to get but I thought I’d post a report anyway. Myself and OneByOne had other plans for the night but after a quick scour over the internet we were curious to find old cuttings and forgotten tunnels.
After climbing and navigating around fencing and ladders we both peered into the darkness, Dim lights showed us the Merseyrail Line sat infront of us. Just to the left of us lay flowers & wooden crosses where some young fella in the early 90’s had taken his life/Been killed on the line.
Built in the 1970’s the Merseyrail system is rather ‘fresh’, When trackside there is no graffiti or rubbish – Rather looked after in our eyes.
I’m sure that while writing this our entrance to the system has now been finished, if not it will be in the near future. I was quite nervous standing by the track, I had never experienced the 3rd Rail before and had never been down to the London Underground - but it’s now on the list because of this.
