Arrow ARCHIVE - Old central powerstation, Bromborough 09/08 - 12-11-2008, 16:13

We went to the Old central powerstation in bromborough.
Originaly we were meant to be covering another building which is now under development so was a no go

It looks like this place has been abandoned for years.

We came across a hole in the ground which had a room with enormous pipes in it.

From there we went into a building with huge motors in, we guess this was for pumping water? There were numerous pipes underneath this building and it had a water tower at the back of it.

Also in this room (apart from a dead rat) was a wierd machine probably used to measure amount of water/electricity used. This had a circular graph chart in it which was dated being installed on 07/07/86 This was due to be changed/replaced on 11/07/86 but never was?

Around the back of this building was a water container (above) , bit further we saw a larger building with steps...

Up we went and upon entering the doorway this is what we seen...

Its not a very big site but theres lots of photography potential there, heres a few more pics....

Dials

Water container

Retro 80`s feel

Bricked up! Windows still remain from damage!

Wieghing machine

These are underneath the star trek room?

Vandalism (lots of)

Urban decay

Will be going back soon as i`ve discovered more setting on my camera, as i said, its only a small site but it has great photography appeal also was great to discover something else when we were dissapointed the main target is in redevelopment.

Thanks for looking.

Didn`t rooftop the place, although there are nice views across the river, might be worth doing next time.

Theres also one of those small boxes with green doors on next to the water container which had this very long hole in at the bottom of the stairs....

Not sure what the rope was there for?

Few more pics...

Is there anything else nearby that would justify making a trip?
