Default HSBC / Midland Bank Building, Manchester - October 2010 - 01-10-2010, 21:09

Visited with Gone.

Built between 1933-1935 and is currently a Grade II listed building. The Brainchild of Sir Edwin Lutyens is constructed of Portland Stone around a steel frame and is built in an Art-Deco style. Originally the buildings purpose was to operate as Midland Bank and was so until the 90's when HSBC took over. The castle-styled building ceased business and closed it's doors for the last time on the 6th June 2008 when HSBC relocated it's Manchester branch.

Rumour has it Jamie Oliver is about to take it over; the disastrous effect of this is already evident inside.

Cheers for looking
