BOX FACTORY DRAIN, MANCHESTER - MAY 2013

Visited with Snake Oil

Me and the Snake Oil was in much need of drains and he suggested The Box Drain which would be a nice stroll but hopefully a few features along the way.

Unfortunately this turned out to not be the most exciting of explores we have been on, but had a few nice features along the way.

Starting at the outfall it was a twin bore concrte box section right underneath the car park above. As we made our way underneath you could clearly hear the traffic above. A little further along was a couple of drains and then much further along we got to a nice 5ft pipe.... we decided before we venture down and get footprints everywhere we'd take a few snaps first and then a minute later there was an almighty bang from inside which absolutely s**t me up.... so we decided not to venture down this one - this bang kept on reoccuring every few minutes so was a good job really!

Out the the infall and nothing much further so decided to venture down the other section where we was met with the greta hall - the box section seemed to go right up mabye around 40ft which just seemed weired but was nice to photo. keep on walking and back to the infall...

Enjoy the photos...
