Default University of Liverpool Research Facility / Shepherd Construction Site – August 2010 - 11-08-2010, 05:16

There isn’t that much to see on this site but because of its position it provides a nice spot for taking photographs down towards the docks along with both cathedrals, Unfortunately the crane was locked half way up.

Having walked past the ever present & keen security around the campus myself & Jimmy found a rather easy access point although the stair section was fully exposed to the security cabins. With Jimmy’s unconstructive worrying at the start we watched them leave the comfort of the cabins to take short walks back and too at various times.

Shepherd Construction have been awarded the £16.5 million contract to build a new research facility for the University of Liverpool, It is due to be completed by October 2011.

The 5950m squared facility will be able to accommodate 600 researchers using the site to research into infectious diseases, cancer and digestive diseases. Various heat saving features will be inputted into the facility along with using recycled materials and sustainable timber.

Had a little smudge on my 40-150mm...

Thanks for Looking, Gone...

You know, you really should keep a personal log. Why bore others needlessly?
