as i said we came here before winstanley hall but there were a police riot van and a dogs van at the main entrance, so we went to to winstanley hall for a few hours. when we got back there was no police, but there were a fire engine (no fire!) and people on scaffolding looking at the dome cameras, after the fire engine did a million point turn outside the front we went to see if we can get in, we did with access we used early last year.

once we where in we had a look at the stone figures on the roof, not long after we were seen by a bloke whistling walking down the corridor, he took a glance at me and carried on! it was strange but he walked off up to to the stone figures. so we headed for the library as i really wanted to see it again, but on the way there i guessed it was not going to be as i remembered, i noticed all the rooms where empty, no chairs, no beds. and the library was also empty, no books no stuffed animals. we walked round for a bit longer and the place is empty. the only place of interest was the chapel.

you can just see 2 guys cutting trees down in front of one of the cameras in the corner of the court yard

empty library

Brilliant work lads, wonder where the books have gone. There were a lot from the 1700's in there.

That is a shame that it's been emptied. Hopefully the books have gone somewhere where they can be read!
Still looks incredibly beautiful even if it is empty.

I think I spent at least two hours in there the first time I got back in.

That place looks really quite something. Love the pictures, especially number 7.

Wish I didn't have to work that day :(
