Default The Works, Manchester - Jan 2013 - 25-01-2013, 21:30

The Works, Manchester

Visited with Ojay and Snake Oil

History

I have tried to find some info on this place but the best i could find was that the place was at least 100 years old.

The Visit

After being invited out by Ojay to his big Wednesday splash, I was soon to understand the real meaning of "splash".

Snake Oil picked me up and we met up with Ojay at the rendezvous point and went to pop a lid. After much umming and arrring by Ojay it was decided to leave the lid and instead follow the route of the infal. We made our way past the Inhospitable and into The Works - I was completely taken away by the sheer size of the place and how deep it went but we soon reached a boring RCP with some lingering scum ontop of the water so decided to go no further. Ojay went off the explore the Inhospital further whilst myself and Snake Oil took some snaps of the works

Oh, forgot to add, whilst me and Snake Oil was waiting for Ojay to re-appear from the Inhospital, i decided to take a slip into the drink and only just saved my camera! God it was cold!!!

WTF it's about knee deep if you just walk straight at the outfall across the river

Your pics turned out well Stu, you're definitely getting the hang of the new camera in the darkness. Thanks for the invite Ojay, it was a good night out, hopefully more to come :thumb
