Looking at the DoB data for PILLBOX: S0007321 it struck me that the description didn't match the location. As I was in the area and in walking distance of the area described I went for a stroll.

PILLBOX: S0006015 would match the description given for 7321

It has been sealed internally as well as externally.

Missed out one (PILLBOX: S0006014) on my walk as it was surrounded by cows .......
......but did take a couple of shots of PILLBOX: S0006015

Plenty more to be photographed along the Dove

(appologies for large photos but I already reduce them to half-original on photobucket)

I find the info on DoB to be inaccurate sometimes, and have sent in corrections, which have been ignored.

It did say that it would not be updated after the project ended. Local HERs should however be willing to update their localised versions which would be a big help!

That's great, so if it is incorrect, then it will always be incorrect. Just what the researcher needs.

"These databases are now fixed and will not be updated further, although the Defence of Britain project data has been distributed to the National Monuments Records and local Sites & Monuments Records throughout the UK and will be updated through their systems in the future."

A couple more from the Dove stop line:

The one I didn't photograph last week due to a severe cow infestation. DoB: S0006014

DoB: S0006012

DoB: S0006011

and a bonus for concrete lovers...one that isn't in the DoB
